♥ NCS ♥

Hey Guys,

Another thing I will be doing this year is NCS.

NCS is a UK based event that takes part in the spring, summer and autumn seasons and basically allows teenagers of the ages 16-17 to live away from home for 3 weeks and learn new skills and make new friends. NCS stands for the 'National Citizen Service', and I would highly recommend anyone who lives in the UK to sign up and give it ago. The reason why I am taking part is because I can be painfully shy at times of meeting new people and I want to become more confident and I thought the best way was to chuck myself into a group of 15 random people (that sounded weird...).

NCS is a great opportunity and when I heard of how it was structured I couldn't wait to book a place!

NCS consists of three weeks away with a group of new friends:

  • The first week away is in the local outdoors centre with a group of 15 other people, where you will take part in lots of outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, canoeing, Go Ape etc.
  • The next week is then spent in university accommodation, where the staff will teach you how to cook, budget and basically teaching you how to survive after you leave home.
  • The final week is where you take part in a community project or fundraise  for a charity of your choice.
I thought that this sounded really fun and thought it would be a great thing to put on my CV for when I apply for uni...(Oh god I just freaked myself out...Uni can't be a few years away...)

see you next time

♥ Summer In the City ♥

Hey Guys,

A few months ago, myself and clutterofthoughts bought tickets to go to Summer In the City (SitC)!!

First of all for those people who don't know what SitC is, it is basically a YouTube event where subscribers can meet there favourite YouTubers!!

Anyway, we were talking about this event a lot in 2013 and swore to ourselves that we would go in 2014. Fast forward one year and we nearly lost the chance of getting tickets, as we had forgotten about the event completely and didn't even think to check what date the tickets were on sale. But thank god for being in the right place at time as we managed to get Sunday tickets!

Sadly tickets are sold out now but there is going to be a live stream on their YouTube channel over the course of the weekend (9th-10th August 2014) if any of you are interested!

Speaking of YouTubers, here are a few of my favourites, so please go and Subscribe to them, if you haven't done so already:

See next week

♥ What's been going on... ♥

Hey Guys,

I am just sh*t at staying committed to this blog, but I am going to try harder to get into a routine of at least writing a new post every week. (Hopefully Clutterofthoughts will help me ;) Check her out!! Just because she is amazing and is way better at this than I am!)

Anyway, a lot has been going on in the last month which has lead to a lot of procrastination...you know the usual exams and stuff that every person my age has to deal with.

So, I am at the stage of my teenage years where you have to make all the scary decisions that impact the rest of your life! So with my GCSE's just around the corner, I have now decided that after watching youtubers for about a year, I feel that I will never be happy unless I do what they do. This psychological fear of never being happy has made me feel like putting my head in the sand and just ignoring my responsibilities. Which doesn't help whatsoever. Even if I do start pursuing in a YouTube channel, I feel as though that my channel won't have as larger impact on peoples lives as the bigger channels have. Everything YouTube related has completely inspired me to start a channel, such as making people smile, laugh and making everything seem just a little bit better.

What do you guys think? I need some outside opinions, please comment below and help me out <3

Lots of Love,

Laurita xx
